July airfare drops to lowest point in 3+ years as travel bookings increase 195% since April lows
As parts of the world begin the process of re-opening after months of closure, some Americans are starting to look toward their next international trip, with new trends emerging.
With parts of the U.S. beginning to re-open ahead of the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, Americans are starting to dream up future travel plans.
Early April Outlook - Current State of Travel
US domestic airfare dropped an average of 14% between March 4th and March 7th to $230 round-trip. Destinations like Miami, New York, and Las Vegas dropped in price upwards of 29%.

With the State Department issuing a “do not travel” advisory and a declaration by the World Health Organization of a global health emergency, airlines have cancelled flights to and from China - as the Coronavirus continues to spread around the world.
There’s still time to get great deals for Valentine’s Day weekend.
Prices are expected to be up about 4.5% compared to the same time last year and up only 1.3% compared to two years ago.
According to Hopper's projections, Americans overall are spending 6% more on Christmas air travel this year than last, with the total amount spent over the holiday period forecast at $1.8 billion in 2018 compared to $1.7 billion in 2017.
