Want to fly to Europe on the cheap? Do it on one of these two airlines: WOW air and Norwegian Air Shuttle. These two Nordic budget airlines – WOW is from Iceland – are the first two budget airlines to make the journey from the United States to Europe and they're offering fares at rock-bottom prices.

Keep an eye out for Ryanair offering transatlantic flights in the near future, as the infamous Irish airline has hinted it might join the ranks of budget airlines flying from Europe to the United States.

Norwegian Air Shuttle with fares as low as $250 each way!

This Norwegian budget airline flies travelers from various destinations in the United States to the Scandinavian capitals of Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm, and to continental destinations like Paris, at prices starting at only $250 each way. The trip won't be as comfortable as a flight on KLM or Lufthansa, but it will be cheaper!

WOW air with fares as low as $146 each way!

Starting in spring 2015, WOW air will fly from Boston and Baltimore to Reykjavik, Iceland's capital, with connecting flights available to London and Copenhagen, with some fares going for as low as $146 each way!
