Hopper, the fastest-growing travel app, today announced its NDC (New Distribution Capability) partnership with Hawaiian Airlines, Hawaii’s hometown carrier.

Hopper customers will now have full access to the airline’s HA Channel+ content, which includes all of Hawaiian Airlines' Neighbor Island content, as well as personalized and dynamically priced content. The HA Connect partnership will also give Hopper users access to the best available published fares and ancillary pricing, without having to pay Hawaiian’s Distribution Cost Recovery Surcharge.

This announcement – in addition to Hopper’s NDC partnerships with other airlines, and acquisition of GDX Travel – reinforces Hopper’s ongoing commitment to NDC. Airlines that connect with Hopper via NDC can present consistent, personalized offers to customers who shop across Hopper and the airline’s digital channels.

Hopper has seen extraordinary growth coming out of the pandemic and is now the 3rd largest OTA in the United States. Hopper delivers a highly personalized experience for its customers through its conversational commerce model and travel fintech products, including Price Freeze, Cancel for Any Reason and Flight Disruption Guarantee. With over 70 million downloads, Hopper ranked as the #1 most downloaded OTA in the U.S. in 2021, according to Apptopia

“As travel demand, jet fuel, and seasonality continue to put upward pressure on airfare, users are eager to find great deals on their summer getaways to Hawaii,” said Kiera Haining, Head of Flights Marketplace at Hopper. “We are thrilled to announce this partnership with Hawaiian Airlines, enabling Hopper to offer customers the best available fares, inventory, and customer experience.”

“At Hawaiian Airlines, we are committed to connecting people with aloha and showcasing the beauty of the islands,” commented Theo Panagiotoulias, SVP Global Sales & Alliances for Hawaiian. “By partnering with Hopper via NDC, we are tapping into an innovative marketplace and providing a more seamless experience for travelers looking to visit Hawai‘i.”
